Dozens turn out for the 2006 picnic!
This year's Annual All-Alumni Picnic, held July 27 at Ellison Park, was another delightful opportunity for Brighton alums to socialize and reunite. It was a lovely evening, with almost 100 participants representing classes from 1931 to 1991. BCSD Superintendent Chris Manaseri popped in to offer greetings and express appreciation for everything BSAA does to support Brighton schools. Keep the 4th Thursday of next July open for the 4th Annual All-Alumni Picnic!

| A new marquee for 12 Corners from BSAA |
As you drive past Brighton High School and Middle School along Winton Road South these days, you'll be able to see what's going on much more easily, thanks to a new, state-of-the-art electronic marquee donated by the Brighton Schools Alumni Association (BSAA). The marquee has been up and operating for several months, but had not been formally presented to BCSD until recently. At an October 18, 2005, presentation ceremony, outgoing Superintendent Henry Peris (below, center) and Student Council President Maria Tatsekos (below, right) graciously accepted this generous gift from alumni and BSAA Co-chair Henry "Pete" French (second row below, right) reinforced the BSAA's commitment to BCSD schools. 2005 picnic brings out old friends
The first BSAA Alumni Picnic was so much fun, we did it again! BSAA's 2nd Annual Alumni Picnic, held on July 28 in Ellison Park, brought together more than 100 alumni from several decades of BHS graduating classes, along with a few classmates who attended other BCSD schools. A wonderful evening was had by all, bolstered by a feast of hotdogs, salads and light desserts, washed down with beer, wine and sodas.

The bane of girls' existence in past
years - the dreaded BHS gym suit. Even Miss
America would look like a klutz wearing this! The BSAA Alumni Resource
Center may have to protect this artifact against becoming a dartboard.
